Project Overview
The wind farm believes it can inject a significant amount of annual revenue into the local economy through rental/crofter payments and payments direct to the communities. It offers the opportunity for communities to take an ownership stake of up to 20% in the wind farm. It has offered to exchange 'community benefit payments' for a community equity stake of 15% in the wind farm with the opportunity for the community to invest in a further 5% on the same basis as other investors. Estimated minimum annual revenues include:
- £1.7 million Crofter Payments
